KALAMAZOO, MI – The Division 1 Central Collegiate Women’s Hockey Association hosted the 2019 league playoffs from February 22 – February 23. Due to the World University Games, the league invited four teams, instead of six teams, to be in the final four and compete for the Tournament Championship. Those four teams included Miami University, Grand Valley State University, Michigan State University and Adrian College.

KALAMAZOO, MI – The 2018 Central Collegiate Women’s Hockey Association held their annual tournament this past weekend at Wings West Arena, where the Adrian College Bulldogs recorded their first CCWHA Tournament win after defeating Miami University in the championship.

CCWHA D1 NOVEMBER PLAYERS OF THE MONTH – The Central Collegiate Women’s Hockey Association Division 1 presents the three stars of the month. For November 2017, the third star of the month belongs to Jenna Trubiano of the University of Michigan, second star goes to Brittany Levasseur of Adrian College, and first star of November is awarded to Nicole Paradis of Adrian.

GRAND VALLEY/ADRIAN (10.21/10.22) – The CCWHA rivals had an important series October 21 and 22, with Adrian coming up with the sweep, tallying wins of 6-3 and 7-1. In the series’ first game, the Lakers started things off with Taylor Lampar putting in the first goal with an assist from Allison Carlson and Brelin Tasker at the 5:00 minute mark into the period. The Bulldogs would tally three unanswered goals to make it 3-1, after Jessie Rushing, Kaillie Hardy and Taylor Murcek found the back of the net. Brittany Levasseur, Madeline Arnold, Nicole Paradis, and Kyleen Wilson with the helpers on the first three AC goals. Rachel Smith began the second period with a Grand Valley goal, 7:08 into play, with Carlson and Lampar adding to their point total with assists. Once again, the Bulldogs put in three unanswered scores, this time from Kirstin LaBelle, Olivia Ziemba and Paradis. The assists came from Kelly-Rae Zdan, Danica Polson, Brooklyn Moore, Jessica Harrison, Murcek and Arnold. LaBelle’s goal coming on the AC power play. Lampar grabbed her second goal of the night, and the final goal of the game at the 11:30 mark in the third after a pass from Corey Robison and Smith while on a power play of their own. Alison Dungey picked up the win for Adrian in net, stopping 19 of 22 shots faced, while at the other end, Lauren Allen stopped 42 of 48 shots on goal.

September 27, 2017 – The Saints of Aquinas look to move from CCWHA Division 2, up to Division 1 after a preliminary 2017-18 season playing against Division 1 opponents. They have joined the ACHA Division 1 league for the 2017-18 season as well.

ILLINOIS/MISSOURI – Fourteen Division-1 Central Collegiate Women’s Hockey Association players have been invited to attend the Team USA World University Games Training Camp that takes place Dec. 28-30. With the help of this camp, the final roster for the WUG will be determined from the total 27 players invited to the training camp. The 2017 WUG will be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
