GRAND VALLEY/ADRIAN (10.21/10.22) – The CCWHA rivals had an important series October 21 and 22, with Adrian coming up with the sweep, tallying wins of 6-3 and 7-1. In the series’ first game, the Lakers started things off with Taylor Lampar putting in the first goal with an assist from Allison Carlson and Brelin Tasker at the 5:00 minute mark into the period. The Bulldogs would tally three unanswered goals to make it 3-1, after Jessie Rushing, Kaillie Hardy and Taylor Murcek found the back of the net. Brittany Levasseur, Madeline Arnold, Nicole Paradis, and Kyleen Wilson with the helpers on the first three AC goals. Rachel Smith began the second period with a Grand Valley goal, 7:08 into play, with Carlson and Lampar adding to their point total with assists. Once again, the Bulldogs put in three unanswered scores, this time from Kirstin LaBelle, Olivia Ziemba and Paradis. The assists came from Kelly-Rae Zdan, Danica Polson, Brooklyn Moore, Jessica Harrison, Murcek and Arnold. LaBelle’s goal coming on the AC power play. Lampar grabbed her second goal of the night, and the final goal of the game at the 11:30 mark in the third after a pass from Corey Robison and Smith while on a power play of their own. Alison Dungey picked up the win for Adrian in net, stopping 19 of 22 shots faced, while at the other end, Lauren Allen stopped 42 of 48 shots on goal.

Aquinas Looks To Join CCWHA D1 Ranks

September 27, 2017 – The Saints of Aquinas look to move from CCWHA Division 2, up to Division 1 after a preliminary 2017-18 season playing against Division 1 opponents. They have joined the ACHA Division 1 league for the 2017-18 season as well.

The 2017 CCWHA D1 Champions are the Miami University Redhawks! This is their 4th straight visit to the championship game and their 3rd win in 4 years. Congratulations Redhawks!

SOUTH BEND, IN. – The Division 2 CCWHA Division 1 championship game is set to have the No. 6 seed, Michigan State University, against the No. 2 seed, Miami University. Puck drop is set for 1 pm at Compton Ice Arena.
