The month of November  held many games for the Central Collegiate Women’s Hockey Association teams. Throughout the month, many players shined bright, but three players stood out the most. These three standout players, from various CCWHA teams, have been named the November 2021 CCWHA Three Stars of the Month.

Concordia University’s Grace Dodgson has been selected as the Third Star of the Month after playing in six games during November. The freshman forward put up points in five of the six games for Concordia, with five of the games played being league games. Dodgson helped the Cardinals against opponents such as No. 11 Michigan State University, No. 14 University of Michigan, and No. 13 University of Michigan-Dearborn. The Belmont, ON native tallied three goals to propel Concordia past Michigan State in a 3-0 shutout win. Dodgson gathered a total of 11 points (8g, 3a) in November, nine of those points during CCWHA games, and currently has 16 points (13g, 3a) to lead the Cardinals.

Michigan State University’s Savina Osann has nabbed the Second Star of the Month honors after earning a 3-0 record in November. Osann took on Concordia University, Aquinas College and Grand Valley State University for her three wins, and only allowed five goals in three games. The junior netminder stopped 44 of 49 shots in November. Osann is currently 4-0 for the Spartans, has stopped 97 of 107 shots faced this season and has a .907 save percentage for the Spartans.

The First Star of the Month is awarded to the University of Michigan-Dearborn’s Claudia Maguire. The senior for UMD snagged 10 points (4g, 5a) in just three games for the month of November. Maguire earned star of the game honors in two of the three league games, picking up the game winning goal against Grand Valley State University, and putting up seven (3g, 4a) in the win over University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
